Teams 1 and 2 of the CRCTB took part in the Respiratory Research Days (J2R), held in Caen on October 17 and 18, with strong involvement from Christelle Guibert (co-coordinator of the RESPIRenT group with Bernard Mari). The event featured a rich and stimulating program, marked by a high level of engagement from our researchers!

Several members of the center presented their work in the form of posters:

  • Elisa Celle (Team 2): “Altered CDHR3 expression in asthmatic children bronchial epithelium”
  • Laure Gassiat (Team 1): “Study of Thrombomodulin in Pulmonary Hypertension Associated with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia in Preterm Newborns”
  • Alexis Leriche (Team 1):Characterization of the GPRX receptor in the pulmonary vascular endothelium: a role in bronchopulmonary dysplasia”
  • Jean-François Quignard (Team 1): “Piezo 1 channel inhibition by carvacrol in rat pulmonary smooth muscle cells”
  • Eloïse Latouille (Team 2): “Exploring COPD using a complex tubular model of distal airways integrating epithelial and mesenchymal compartments”
  • Elise Maurat (Team 2): “An artificial intelligence-based model exploiting H&E images to assess the response of airway submucosal glands to cigarette smoke”

In addition, Amélie Legrix delivered a noteworthy oral presentation on the study of emphysema pathophysiology using a 3D alveolosphere model derived from human type II alveolar epithelial cells and fibroblasts.

Congratulations to Laure Gassiat and Elisa Celle, who each received an award for the quality of their presentation, in the categories “Circulation and Vascular Pathologies” and “Chronic Airway Diseases”!
