The mechanisms underlying the harmful effects of particulate pollution on the cardiovascular system remain poorly understood, and few studies have explored the cellular and molecular effects of these particles on pulmonary cells.
Ongoing Projects
- Characterization of indirect effects on HPAECs (human pulmonary artery endothelial cells) of epithelial secretions induced by single or repeated exposures of respiratory epithelial cells to various types of nanoparticles (NPs) in an air-liquid interface (ALI) exposure system.
Collaboration with Team 2 of the unit - Assessment of the toxicity of lunar regolith simulants on respiratory epithelial and pulmonary vascular cells.
Collaboration with Team 2 of the unit, Dr. Jean-Luc Morel (CNRS UMR 5287, INCIA – “Motopsyn” team, Space Exploration Axis), and Dr. Stéphane Mornet (CNRS UMR 5026, ICMCB)
